Amanpuri
The word Amanpuri is derived from Sanskrit and means 'place of peace'. The hotel has been designed in Thai style and is set in a coconut palm grove above a private beach. Traditional Thai music is performed most evenings at the pool pavilion and torch-lit barbecues are held on the beach (weather and tide permitting) from late November to April. Amanpuri has a large swimming pool and a separate 20 metre lap pool. Accommodation is in the form of pavilions and all 40 pavilions feature an outdoor sala, king size bed and separate bath and shower.
